What strain is the H in BamH1 restriction enzyme? Bacillus amyloliquefaciens H (RUB500 strain) or from the ATCC (ATTC49763) - I hope that is what you need. See reference below for details of the isolation of BamHI.
GA Wilson, FE Young. (1975) Isolation of a sequence-specific endonuclease (Bami) of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens HJ Mol. Biol. 97: 123-125.
Abstract:
A restriction endonuclease was isolated from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens H (RUB500 strain). The enzyme, Bami, cleaves adenovirus-2 DNA at three sites, the phase λ DNA at five sites, λ DNA located on four sites, 80 pt DNA at 14 sites, and 3T + DNA four sites. However, it does cut the DNA from bacteriophage SPO2, 105 or 29.
