They should be in bed - I've seen on TV "Most people would rather believe that their leaders are just and fair, despite evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which he lives is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what ' he or she do about it. To take action against corrupt government entails risks of injury to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to abandon its self-image permanent principles . Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Thus, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical mind, but only to give moral cowards an excuse not thinking at all.''- Michael Rivero
Moments frozen at the altar of truth
It all started for me in 1959 when I was born, I mean how I was deceived by the mainstream media. One of my earliest memories was sitting watching TV with my family after JFK was assassinated. My mother and grandmother, weeping uncontrollably, my father and grandfather - confessing that he was a "good" and that "the good die so young is taken." I had no idea what was happening in only four and a half years - but this time solidified as crystal in my mind - my first big "frozen moment".
A few years later we were all sitting there again watching TV at 3am watching Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, uttering these prophetic words. I will never forget the neighbor next to us, that old Italian man who was told that the entire moon mission had to be a hoax, we were a bunch of releases to be believed, it could not be true. Everyone knew that I thought he was crazy, including me. I was busy having his head full of these great thoughts about the nobility and goodness of humanity, and as my family and almost all my neighbors, I was once more ready to believe in my heart that everything that these icons of public confidence in the television tells us, was the absolute truth - after all, these are the people who gave us new every night, every night around one hour dinner, so we can know what is happening worldwide, what to think, how to judge these people out there, here, anywhere. I will never forget how proud I was watching the man walking on the moon, my heart breaking 10 years of my chest, feeling lucky to be alive at that time and looking at television . It was a great moment "frozen".
There are other pictures that are obviously mentally very strong in my mind. Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King assassinations, the Vietnam War which lasted throughout my childhood, the Nixon Watergate hearings, the Iran-Contra. He could not enter our mind that anything we have seen on television may be less than the truth of the Gospel, because we live in the Western Hemisphere, the best, most noble hemisphere on this planet. Simply ask Walter Cronkite or Dan Rather or Ronald McDonald or Barney the Dinosaur fucking - any talking head as accessories in a neutral plane while occupying the 4 Standard 3 aspect ratio limits the spirit Inhibition of this invention of man licentious. They should tell the truth - has got to be true, after all, "I've seen on TV".
Go to September 2001 11.
I'm sitting in my office when a news flash on the screen of my computer and I am aware of the attack 9/11 in NYC. As if by some secret homing mechanism, my colleagues also walk outside their cells and convergence in the communal areas of coffee - and it begins, we immediately begin parroting the official myth fed to us by the news media event. Talk about bin Laden and 19 hijackers crazy Muslims. Ooh child, the rag-heads are Goona get them, those bastards are sure to pay - I hope that Uncle Sam really nukes back to the Stone Age for what they did, and so we talked for days and weeks, all the while being filmed and manipulated as always.
