Breast Milk Versus Formula

I wondered if the babies are bigger / gain more weight if they are formula-fed versus milk-fed babies. I have a little girl of 11 months and I still have the womb of its food. I would not do otherwise! But I recently had a discussion that babies are leaner than formula-fed babies in because parents give the bottle of formula fed babies (measure exact quantities). I have not found this to be true. My wife and I bottle our baby (due to health problems) and my sister breast fed her baby. Our baby was born at a lower weight, but quickly outgrew my sisters baby.
