Summertime and livin 'is easy! What says summer better than a barbecue in the garden? And do not worry invite your parents or friends with diabetes. Here's a full menu for you that is diabetic friendly. The food is delicious, no need to prepare foods for diabetics and non diabetics. In fact, nobody thinks you have planned your meals according to diabetic needs.

Let's start with an aperitif if people can "graze" when you do not have to grill. How about Dip Garlic Olive cheese with an assortment of whole wheat or other whole grain crackers and baked tortilla chips? Interesting? Here is the recipe:

Garlic Dip CHEESE OLIVE

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
20 Spanish olives stuffed with pimento, finely chopped
Five cloves of garlic, peeled garlic press pass

4 chicken breast halves boneless and skinless

For the salsa: In a large bowl, combine beans, pineapple, onion, tomato, garlic, lime juice, salt and pepper. Refrigerate until serving.

For the chicken: Combine sugar, chili sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Brush both sides of chicken.

To grill chicken: Coat grill with nonstick cooking spray before starting grill. Grill chicken over medium heat until cooked, about 4-7 minutes per side.

Serve chicken with salsa.

1 1 / 2 cups low-fat mayonnaise

1 / 4 c. teaspoon celery seed
1 / 2 c. salt
1 / 4 c. black pepper
8 cups shredded cabbage or salad mix
1 / 2 cup shredded carrots

Blend mayonnaise, Splenda, onion (if using), lemon juice, vinegar, celery seed, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add cabbage and carrots. Stir well to cover all the cabbage. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

A plate of vegetables is always more pleasant. Use seasonal summer vegetables such as cucumber slices, tomato wedges, carrots, green onions, broccoli crowns for a tasty, colorful presentation.
