Today, Rant-car manufacturers are in the wrong direction? As gasoline prices soar, car manufacturers put pressure to make cars fuel efficient. The various methods to get there by these manufacturers are
1. More fuel efficient engine
2. variable valve timing (VVTi, etc. VTEC), direct injection technology (Dicor, CRC etc.)
3. More effective communications by adding gears, changing gear ratios and torque converters to provide maximum benefits.
4. Hybrids. Mahindra Scorpio Hybrid is the corner of the street, while Honda Civic Hybrid is waiting for the envelope to be removed. Type your abstract here
There are several ways to solve this problem and in a manner that is gradually adopted by reducing the load on the engine-By making lighter cars
This is by far the easiest way you can reduce fuel consumption. Sounds simple does not it? A 1000 kg car consumes less fuel than a 2500 kg car, like an elephant consumes less food than a dog.
By reducing the weight, the benefits can be reaped in the long term. A lighter car is faster, stops quicker and handles better.
It is much more difficult to make cars lighter than the classic, we discussed at the beginning. If you try to make a vehicle more fuel efficient in terms of a transmission, you add new technologies'. Or even an engine of this issue, you take an existing engine and put in variable valve timing or a variable geometry turbocharger.
If you have to make a car lighter, the whole car must be rethought. A switch in materials used means that it must be quite different. Aluminum or carbon fiber, which is adopted by most car manufacturers are lighter and stronger than traditional steel. On the other hand, the cost factor plays a major role, both the cost of these materials several times that of steel.
But if you go ahead and make the car with these materials, what you earn is considerable. You'll find yourself with a car that is 20-30% lighter and fuel 20-30% more efficient. The trend of using lighter materials in cars every day is setting, and perhaps 10-15 years from now, the Indica or the Alto will be dressed in these materials.
