Dairy Free Diet is different from a casein-free? There are lactose intolerance, allergies to casein and milk allergy. Each is different from an allergy or intolerance. To alleviate the symptoms of milk and milk derivatives must be removed from both schemes. Some processed foods may contain lactose. Casein is found in processed foods, mandatory in vitamins, cosmetics and adhesives. Product labels should be read carefully to ensure they are lactose free and casein.
Lactose Intolerance
Lactose intolerance is less frequent in northern and western Europe. It is more common in African countries, the Afro-American, Native American and Mediterranean. Lactose is a sugar found in milk and milk products. Lactose Intolerance is the inability to digest lactose. In the small intestine of the enzyme lactase is sufficient to break the lactose into two simple forms forms of sugar glucose and galactose. When lactose is broken down into glucose and galactose, it is possible to absorb water vapor in the blood. Lactose intolerance develops over time and many do not show symptoms until early childhood or early adulthood.
Casein Allergy

Read labels and check for products without casein.
Milk Allergy
Milk allergy is an immune system response to one or more milk proteins. The immune system creates antibodies to fight the wrong milk proteins. The chemicals create antibodies in the body that can cause skin rashes, headaches, nausea and / or wheezing. Lactose intolerance and allergy to cow's milk are not the same.
