Yummy Christmas dessert recipes? Anybody have a good dessert recipes for Christmas? No links to other sites, but the actual revenue that you know and use?
Holiday Spritz
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup confectioners 'sugar'
1 egg
1 1 / 2 teaspoon rum extract
2 1 / 2 cups all purpose flour
1 / 4 c. teaspoon salt
colored sugar
In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and extract. Mix flour and salt, gradually add to creamed mixture.
Help for a cookie press fitted with disk of your choice, press the cookies 1 inch part on ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for 6-9 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to racks.
Nice 'n' soft sugar cookies
1 cup butter, softened
confectioners 1 1 / 2 cups of sugar '
1 egg
1 1 / 2 tsp tsp vanilla extract
2 1 / 2 cups flour to increase
Frosting:
Confectioners 2 1 / 2 cups sugar '
1 / 4 cup water
4 teaspoons meringue powder
1 / 4 cup light corn syrup
Green, red and yellow food coloring
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Divide dough in half. Cover and refrigerate for two hours or until easy to handle.
On a lightly floured surface, roll one portion of dough to 3 / 16 inch thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Place two in one on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for five to seven minutes or until. Cool for two minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough.
For frosting, in a small bowl, beat sugar, confectionery, water and meringue powder at low speed just until blended. beaten up for four minutes, or until soft peaks form. Add corn syrup, beat one minute more.
Tint with food coloring of your choice. Cover frosting with damp paper towel or plastic wrap between uses. Disseminate and / or pipe icing on cookies. Let stand until set.
My favorite is the Jelly Belly beans familys recipe.
you take a bit of pound cake and then you take a cookie cutter and cut a Christmas form and then you take a little sugar, water and food coloring and you pay on your Christmas cake in the shape of four Mini-quarters (which acts as the icing), then you make Jelly Belly beans and then you take them and put them on top of cake and mini store in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours. Enjoy'!!!!:-)
Everybody loves Cake Sherry nutmeg. It begins life as a cake mix but you will not feel uncomfortable about it once you taste it. In LG. bowl, mix yellow cake mix, a package of vanilla pudding (the smaller of two sizes, and the instant or cooked type), a teaspoon. ground nutmeg (fresh ground if possible), four LG. eggs, 3 / 4 cup cream sherry (a cheap brand is fine), and 3 / 4 cup canola oil. Beat on med. speed (high speed will aerate the batter and to drop it after cooking). Bake at 350 for 40-45 min. into greased and floured bundt pan. Stay in the pan for 20 minutes. remove from pan. Portion with the flute / scallops from the pan as a guide. Tastes a bit like eggnog, but better.
Last year for Christmas, I made pineapple upside cake individual for everyone. I bought the pan at Sur La Table (you can get online if you do not have in your region.) The recipe is on the cardboard around the plate. Everyone thought they were so cute, and they had no idea it was a pan-shaped pineapple, not my creativity! lol
The year before, I made coconut cappuccino foam, put them in cute little glass dishes of depression that I - they were a great success, too.
