Cigarette Lighter Extension

Cigarette Lighter ExtensionIf the car's cigarette lighter outlet be enough to power a another car block heater?

its too cold to start my car and I'm not so close to the outlets to run an extension. Figure I can get a cigarette lighter adapter for cars and run an extension of my car friends for a few hours. I'm out of town and wouldnt mind to go home ... What do you think?

As it is cold. It may be cold and hard at first, but if everything is in working order, you should be able to run OK.

Well, I usually never think about it (if my instructor knew I never told anyone to do so, he would kill me). But go to a parts store and get a box of "starting fluid". Open the air filter and spray the liquid for about 2 or 3 seconds into the entrance after the air filter, rotate your engine over. Starting fluid is essentially the ether, and it may seem hard for one second, because it will fire on the pure ether, but it should do the trick to get your car started.

the cigarette lighter is 12 volts. thats the same as the battery, you could burn up a thread or something if you try other something of the power of a cigarette lighter.

No, the battery would be dead before the heater block is hot

No, he did not have enough power.

UPS attract more than the amp can handle lighter. Most come with cables to attach to the battery. The UPS should be able to handle a load of 1500 watts. Another option is starting fluid, but be careful
