I heard a firend they use a kind of animal product is to give tobacco moistness and general springyness .. further information would be a good thing.

I doubt if it is appropriate. Some tobacco is kept moist with animal and if it dries it can be easily rehydrated.

Depends why you ask - if animal rights are your concern, so no smoking is suitable for vegetarians that any tobacco is tested for toxins and carcinogens on dogs and monkeys - which are masked and forced to breathe smoke tobacco until they die.

I suggest not to use tobacco products. Generally vegetarians join this program because they care about animals and their own health. Why ruin it with tobacco?

Tobacco is appropriate for NO ONE AT ALL. Even if we grewn a way that vegans approve smoking causes lung cancer when smoking and cancer of the mouth when chewed. My advice is abstinence!
