Gerber Yogurt MeltsWhen can I give my baby yogurt Gerber Puffs and bottom?

My son is 9 months next week and I feel like during the day, he would have snacks. Is it allowed to give Gerber puffs and yogurt bottom? He is crawling and sitting pretty good, but still has no teeth yet. I have heard that flushes and substance dissolve in the mouth. If someone could tell me what I can give him please let me know.

I encourage you to read the ingredients on products and google the ones you do not know, especially Annatto is a "natural food coloring" which means that many allergies and artificial problems.

At 9 months he can eat almost anything, as this is not a real choking hazard like whole grapes or hard candy. But you're shaping their taste buds for the rest of her life whole foods are better than processed foods.

more solid

After six months, Mrs Rapley said babies were capable of taking food into their mouths and chew.

Therefore, feeding them pureed food at this time could delay the development of chewing skills.

Instead, she says, they should be given milk and solid pieces of food which they could chew.

Mrs Rapley argued that babies fed pureed had little control over how much food they ate, making them vulnerable to constipation, and are at risk they react by becoming fussy eaters later in life.

She blamed the food industry for convincing parents that they should give children pureed food.

She said: "Sound scientific research and government advice now agree that there is no longer developmental window of a baby they need something more than milk and less than solids ".

Is not strangle?

Many parents worry about babies choking. However, there are good reasons to believe that babies are at less risk of choking if they are in control of what goes on in their mouth if they are spoon fed. This is because babies are not capable of intentionally moving food to the back of the throat before he developed the ability to chew. And they do not develop the ability to chew until you have developed the ability to reach and grab things. The ability to pick up very small objects develops later still. Thus, a very young baby can not easily be put in danger because it can not get small pieces of food into his mouth. Spoon feeding, by contrast, encourages the baby to suck the food directly to the back of his mouth, which could make them more susceptible to choking

Ensuring good nutrition

Babies who are allowed to feed themselves seem to accept a wide range of foods. This is probably because they have more the flavor of the food to focus on - they live texture, color, size and shape as well. In addition, giving babies foods separately, or in a manner which allows them to separate themselves, they can learn about a variety of flavors and textures. And allowing them to leave anything they do not seem like to encourage them to be willing to try new things.

The general principles of good nutrition for children apply equally to young babies who are managing their own introduction to solid foods. Thus, the fast food and foods with added sugar and salt should be avoided. However, once the baby is six months it is not necessary (unless there is a family history of allergy or a known or suspected digestive disorder) to otherwise restrict the foods that the baby may be offered . Fruits and vegetables are ideal, with harder food c.
