When Bisquick came out with their baking mix, housewives were pleasantly intrigued throughout. It seemed it was suddenly easier and less time to prepare almost everything. One of the fun things about this new wonder, was the "impossible" recipes. Families were suddenly enjoying all kinds of "impossible" recipes. "Impossible" simply means that the cooks could whip up a mixture, pour into a pie shell, place in oven to bake a pie and pull into a shell. Wow This magic! It worked for pies and meat pies desserts. The Impossible Cheeseburger Pie quickly became a family favorite. Get out your box of baking mix today and make this delicious treat for your family. For dessert, give them a treatment with "Show" cake.

IMPOSSIBLE CHEESEBURGER PIE Bisquick

1 lb. ground beef
1 1 / 2 cups chopped onion
1 / 2 c. salt
1 / 4 c. pepper
1 1 / 2 cups milk
3 / 4 cup Bisquick baking mix
3 eggs
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 cup cheddar or American

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a pie plate, 10 x 1 1/2-inch. Brown beef and onion, drain. Stir in salt and pepper. Pour into pie plate. Beat milk, baking powder, mix until smooth and egg in blender or 15 seconds over high heat 1 minute with hand mixer. Pour into plate over hamburger. Bake 25 minutes. Garnish with tomatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Bake until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, another 5-8 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.

CAKE SHOW

1 box white cake mix
16 oz crushed pineapple
8 ounces cream cheese
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1 package Dream Whip
milk
coconut for garnish
chopped walnuts, for garnish

Drain pineapple, reserving liquid. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cool. Add enough milk to reserved pineapple juice to make 2 cups. Mix juice mixture and cream cheese, then add the pudding mix, mix well again. Stir pineapple and spread over cooled cake. Prepare Dream Whip as directed on package; spread over pudding mixture. Sprinkle coconut and chopped nuts over top of Dream Whip.
