DINING problem - I'm panicking - I will soon get help? It is like the third time I talk about this but I need someone to calm me.
I have a plan, it went well, I'm stuck at 132 now and apparently it's normal, it was like five days. and I think my body on starvation mode - so I ate more today and do not swim - so I'm freaking.
(I work in the morning - swim at Nite / next day I jog in the morning and swim at Nite / and keep goin same model).
I ate a muffin raspberry low-fat and beans for lunch today and eat a muffin made me feel so guilty coz I'm so afraid to eat sugar.
and I just ate about 150 calories of whole wheat grain, 0.5 g fat and no sugar and I'm about to go to bed and I feel really guilty ... usually at the end of the day I find myself 600 calories, 10 g fat and 10 grams of sugar (whole wheat bread, cheese and other foods).
How much sugar I eat, Im always craving chocolate bars or Cinnabon?
I Wana be 120 pounds. IM 19 years old/male/5 "4"
IM goin nuts
You should get help. If you eat only 600 calories per day, which is dangerously low. You should never go below 1,000 calories per day if you're dieting, no matter who you are and what your body type is. You seem to be more concerned about sugar consumption. You do not really fat or gain weight from eating sugar, as many believe. Ultimately, what makes you fat is when you eat more calories than you burn no matter what food is. Thus, the excess nutrients that your body does not use, are stored as fat. There is nothing wrong with adding a little sugar in your diet as long as you eat a balanced diet and healthy. Believe it or not, sugar has no direct correlation with heart disease, diabetes, or hyperactivity. The only scientifically proven result of eating sugar is tooth decay.
The whole wheat grain is actually an ideal food to add to your diet. Whole grains are rich in fiber. Usually the foods that are rich in fiber are low in calories and you can eat a small amount, but still feel full and satisfied. They are good for your system diegestive too. You should eat at least 25-35 grams of fiber per day. Try eating fruits and vegetables (they contain fiber and can eat many things with very few calories), legumes / beans, or meat thin (skinless chicken, Lean pork or fish), and whole grains (like whole grain breads and cereals, popcorn, bran muffins, etc.).
It is also important to drink plenty of water (preferably iced). The water, you will feel fuller when you eat and helping fibers to pass through your digestive system. It is better if the water is cold because it makes you work harder to warm the body, so you burn more calories.
I also recommend that you eat 5 or 6 small servings of food per day rather than three regular meals a day for two reasons: it will speed up your metabolism because your body is constantly working to digest your food and also because when you eat more often throughout the day, you will not feel as hungry.
It is permitted to eat chocolate bars, Cinnabon, or anything with sugar as long as you keep everything in moderation. Eating once a week will not really affect your weight / health. I can not really tell you a specific amount of sugar you are allowed. Just keep in mind that sugar contains empty calories which means they give you energy but not protein, fiber, vitamins or minerals. So all they do is just add calories. Again, no matter what you eat, if you eat more calories than you are able to burn, you will discover the weight gain.
When you eat cheese, be careful what type it is and how you eat it because many cheeses are.
