Milk OsteoporosisWhat a good alternative to milk for diabetic patients with osteoporosis?

My mother just learned she has osteoporosis. I know that drinking milk with the help of this condition, but it also has diabetes. What would be a good alternative to milk in this case?

I recently changed to soy milk with a calcium supplement. Just look at the types there and make sure it is not sweetened with sucrose.

.. Soymilk outright by the taste of milk. And if she has allergies regular milk (skim or 2%) did not affect diabetes

There are other sources of calcium in the diet (a dietitian or a dietetic website will have lists of foods - I think that broccoli is one).

prescription vitamins and mineral supplements (especially the cheaper brands) often have the wrong type of calcium for absorption of the body itself. Your physician should be able to recommend or prescribe a quality brand, and / or its debut on a specific medication for osteoporosis (such as Boniva).

Get calcium supplements. When I broke my arm I was prescribed these.

Tum are full of calcium.

shell calcium supplements health food store.
