Near East RecipesCan anyone replicate this recipe spice mix for me?

I really like Near East Spanish rice pilaf brand, but can not tolerate white rice and the amount of sodium in it. I can use brown rice, but I can not understand how to replicate the taste of the spice packet. And before someone will get points for writing, duh, read the side of the box, well, he gives only a few and then said simply "spices". That I understood. Any help, much appreciated.

tough question What comes to mind, however, is look at a recipe for Spanish rice pilaf and house to watch combinations of spices they list, such as:

1. Cumin
2. Coriander
3. dehydrated powder or fresh onion or onion
4. Red Bell Pepper
5. Chicken or Beef Boullion powder
6. White pepper

You can also check other brands of this mixture. I think that is one with Uncle Ben's brown rice now. The spice mix has a lot of sodium in it, then perhaps you can halve and doll with extra spices such as above.

Good luck!

I found this recipe that lists the spices - cannot promise it will be the taste of "Near East" brand, but it is a start on what spices can be used ... luck ...
