TROPICAL WEDDING Cake AD
This recipe tropical wedding cake is a yellowed and tattered old newspaper clipping. A grocery store in southern Indiana had run this ad as their recipe of the week.
1 box yellow cake mix, prepared as directed on box and bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan.
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar with a pound four ounces of crushed pineapple and cook over medium heat for five minutes.
When cake is the oven, pierce top with a large fork and pour the warm pineapple mixture of sugar on the cake.
Prepare a large package of vanilla pudding (not instant) in accordance with the guidelines and cover the pineapple. Cover and refrigerate cake overnight.
Just before serving, spread the regular or extra creamy whipped topping on top of cake and sprinkle with coconut.
