Here's a resolution you'll want to do: Eat breakfast every morning.

One of the biggest mistakes is not diet to eat breakfast. It's a bad way to start the day. Dieters say they are pressed, but you can prepare a bowl of oatmeal in one minute or two.

And what better food to eat oatmeal. Simple to make, cheap to buy, and so nutritious. It even tastes good.

All of us have heard of the health benefits of fiber into the oatmeal. Oats also contain: high levels of selenium reported to prevent cellular damage and aid arthritis vitamins B, C, E and calcium and low in calories.

Mix in a 2 to 1 water to oats, for example, a half-cup of water for a fourth cup of oats. Then microwave for about 1-2 min. Keep an eye on it to ensure it does not spill over the sides of your bowl.

That's it. It does not get much easier. Make sure you buy quick-cooking oats.

It is a simple matter to measure the oatmeal container and add a little brown sugar to flavor the mix. It does not take much more effort to buy a piece of fruit at the grocery store and it stands out in your bowl. Eat half of this pile of peaches or strawberries, and add the other half to your oatmeal.

Almost any fruit makes a good accompaniment to oatmeal. Add a handful of your favorite nuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds, raisins or try.

But why stop at breakfast? Oatmeal is a snack at any time of day.
