Raw Milk Facts

Raw Milk FactsWhy can lactose intolerant people drink fresh, raw, unpasteurized milk?

I became lactose intolerant (or as I like to say "lactose unlikely" b / c first, there were moments when I could and moments where I could not even eat lactose) four years ago . Meanwhile, my young nephew (two at the time) had multiple allergies, including lactose. My brother met someone who said my nephew could drink raw milk, unpasteurized. My brother tried it on himself first and has concluded that it was completely safe and, in fact, the milk tasted much, much better.
So I tried. And he added - and I never used to like milk ... much prefer the chocolate milk, but fresh milk is awesome. And after I drink I can have cheese, ice cream, whatever.

I think that the enzymes needed to breakdown lactose, which are naturally present in milk are killed when the milk is heated during the pasteurization process, but want to know more about it. Thank you to read / respond!

The natural friendly intestinal bacteria in the milk help break down lactose just before it reaches you it is easier to digest because they did most of the work already!
