Sheep YoghurtYou must choose the right yogurt to treat your yeast infection

Well, I guess most people reading this will be a problem with a yeast infection, or perhaps know someone who does. Maybe if you're one of the lucky ones and it is your first yeast infection. I say lucky because in fact, puts you in a good position to actually cure your problem for good the first time, without making common mistakes.

Those of you who have had recurrent and chronic yeast infections for some time know that they can be difficult to treat once they are established.

I'm sure you all know that there are many natural treatments for this condition, but it is always the case that the yogurt remains one of the best natural remedies. However, to be effective, you must use the right kind of yogurt. This is important, so here are some things you should know.

To begin, you will not go into a store and buy an old yogurt on the shelves. Most of these yogurts, but they are promoted as a healthy option and do some cultures of yogurt, is absolutely stuffed with the last thing you need when you have a yeast infection.

Sugar, yes that's right. Many stores called "fruit" yogurts are made with jam (jelly for those of you in the States) and the jam is half the volume of refined sugar. Knowing that the "fruit" yoghurt is half of the jam, which gives us a percentage of sugar in yogurt by 25%. This fourth volume in sugar.

Now, what yeast infections love and thrive on? Yes, the sugar, they eat them and become stronger and more pervasive. So while there may well be some good bacterial culture in it, is largely offset by the concentration of sugar. Avoid this type of yogurt completely.

Instead, try to go into food stores. These stores are the types of action natural yoghurt that will actually do you good. They have no sugar added and contains loads of good bacteria will fight your yeast infection.

If you have an allergy to cow's milk, yogurt can be cultured skim milk or low fat milk. Goat milk and sheep milk are also effective, and if you do not use animal products, you can use soy milk.

It is also very easy to make your own yogurt at home. You have probably the most items you'll need in your kitchen already. You'll only need to buy a part of the culture of yogurt to get you, you just use your own as you go. Just type in "make your own yoghurt" in a search engine and you will find many sites to tell you how. It is really easy. So much more economical.

The question is for you body back in balance by establishing the level of "good" bacteria in you that is obviously lacking. This discourages your yeast infection to spread and possibly contain and reduce it to the point where it no longer a problem.

You can use yogurt by eating it every day, a morning drink and the evening is a good plan. Apart from anything else it will improve your overall health and feel better.

You can also use it directly, spreading over the area that is painful and itchy, the soothing effect is almost immediate, or you can dip a tampon in yogurt and then insert it. Just a quick word of warning here. Do not let directly applied for too long, fifteen or twenty minutes is enough or it may become an irritant in its own right.

Plain yogurt is an extremely effective against yeast infections and if you use it in time, you may never need anything else.
