Put the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauted onions and beef for about 5 minutes until meat is browned bits free rose. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
Add flour, parsley, bouillon cube and water. Mix thoroughly.
Bring to a boil, then lower the heat until boiling (simmering). Cover and cook very gently for 2 hours. Check the liquid level from time to time, top up if it starts to dry.
Season with pepper.
Put in a baking dish.
Break the egg into a bowl and choose the pieces of the hull. Mix the egg.
Unroll dough. Moisten the edge of the dish with some eggs. Cut a strip of dough and place it on the edge of the dish moist. Moisten the top of the dough with a little more egg. Cover the pan with the dough, pressing edges firmly. Trim the edges and make a hole in the center. Brush dough with remaining egg, which goes out of the oven brilliant.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C, 400 ° F, gas mark 6 for 30 minutes.
Steak and Cheese Pie Pastry blown cover
This pie is a real winner! Since it uses purchased puff pastry, it is quick to prepare, and you can fill the day before if you want.
olive oil
aec 3 red onions, peeled and chopped
aec 3 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
aec 3 tablespoons butter soup, plus extra for greasing
aec 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
aec 2 stalks celery, trimmed and chopped
aec 2.2 pounds beef brisket or stewing beef, cut into 1 "cubes
aec a few sprigs of fresh rosemary, leaves picked and chopped
aec Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
aec 1 15 oz can of Guinness (no beer, please!) Optional - or any other type of liquid
aec 2 tablespoons of flour piled
aec 8 oz.freshly shredded cheddar cheese
aec 1 package of the highest quality ready-butter puff pastry
aec 1 large egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 375 º F. In a large ovenproof skillet, heat a glug of olive oil over low heat. Add onions and cook gently for about 10 minutes - try not to color too. Increase heat, add garlic, butter, carrots and celery. Combine and stir until meat, rosemary, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of pepper.
Quick cooking for 3 or 4 minutes, then pour in the Guinness or any other liquid I use beef broth, add the flour and add just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, cover the pan with a lid and place in preheated oven for approximately 1 hour and a half. Remove pan from oven and give the stew of noise. Return to oven and continue baking for an hour, or until meat is very tender and the stew is rich, dark and thick. A perfect pie filling should be robust, so if it is still quite liquidy, put the pan on the hob and reduce until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and add half the cheese, then season carefully and cool slightly.
