A detox diet is to cleanse your organs and flush out toxins. The following is an example of a diet that may be followed first for the first seven days of a detox program.

During a course of detoxification, it is essential to maintain a healthy digestive system that toxins are discharged through the colon as feces. A healthy digestive system ensure the elimination of any residual toxins. You can increase your bowel movements taking flaxseed lime juice in the morning and also continue the lemon juice all day. The fiber is obtained through the flaxseed and water helps to flush out waste.

Drink plenty of water throughout the program is very essential. Drink as many glasses of water per day to maintain a good rinse system. The more water you drink, the more toxins will be eliminated.
