Recipe KFC Twisters
It's just the way KFC serves them in Australia. Very delicious and my favorite item served at KFC. It took me a while to find how to do it properly, but now it is worth it and I thought I would share with you all.
CRISPY STRIPS
500 g skinless chicken breasts
vegetable oil (for frying)
MARINADE
4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon msg
COATING
1 egg beaten
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons salt
V. 1 pepper Tea
1 1 / 2 tsp tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon Mexican chili powder
1 teaspoon msg (not really important it just adds extra flavor)
TWISTER
1 cup lettuce, shredded
1 tomato, diced
salt, pepper
mayonnaise
6 tortillas (as yiros bread but thinner)
6 servings
1. Trim any excess skin or fat from the chicken breast.
2. Slice chicken breasts into strips nice size (about 1 / 2 inch x 3-4 cm).
3. Mix water, salt and MSG for the marinade in a large bowl and place chicken in set for 20 minutes.
4. Turn the strips once while they are marinating.
5. Mix the beaten egg and milk and a little pepper in a medium bowl.
6. In a small plastic bag, combine the remaining ingredients (flour, salt, pepper, paprika, MSG Chille and Mexico) and shake.
7. At this point you can start to preheat the oil in a deep fryer to 220 degrees.
8. When the chicken is marinated for 20 minutes, transfer each piece of paper towels so that excess liquid can drain.
9. Using tape about ten times and place chicken in bag and shake with shortchange the bag until the chicken strips are coated.
10. Place them on a plate.
11. Once they have been coated with a mixture of flour, dip in egg and milk mixture and return alone in the bag for another jolt.
12. Make sure you try to get that much coating on each tape.
13. If you want you can coat them again if you want a thick coating.
14. Drop strips, 5-6 at a time in hot oil.
15. It should only take a few minutes depending on how you like chicken.
16. Make sure to stir when frying if the bands do not stick together.
17. Remove chicken from oil and drain on paper towels for a couple of minutes.
18. Heat the tortilla in a skillet bread on each side until nice and hot, but not crispy, then remove from pan.
19. Place about 3-4 (depending on size) Krispy strips on tortilla bread.
20. Then add the tomatoes and mayonnaise.
21. Put lots of pepper and salt on the mayonnaise.
22. Then add the lettuce leaves.
23. Roll up and serve.
This recipe has received criticism since a great tasting like KFC ... I do not know, I have not personally tried ... but it could be what you are looking for.
